Your Google Business Profile is often the first thing a parent sees. We set it up completely: correct categories, classes offered, board, office hours for the admission desk, school bus coverage described in the profile, and current photos of the campus, classrooms, library and play areas (never identifiable children without parental consent). We ask parents for honest reviews at natural moments, such as after the first parent-teacher meeting, without incentives or scripts, and we draft polite replies to every review for your approval.

Digital Marketing Agency for Schools
Growthbees is a digital marketing agency for schools, with offices in Tezpur and Guwahati, Assam. We help CBSE, ICSE and state-board schools reach parents before and during admission season through a well-managed Google Business Profile, parent-focused social media content, Google search ads for each class and neighbourhood, open-day promotion, WhatsApp enquiry handling, and school websites with clear admission, fee and disclosure pages. Our school clients include Delhi Public School Tezpur and St. Peter's School, which we have worked with since April 2026. We follow ASCI's education advertising guidelines and never publish a student's photo or name without parental consent.

The problem
Why school admissions are hard to market
01Parents
Parents choose for a child, for years
A school isn't chosen the way a shop or even a college is chosen. Parents are buying something for a child who often can't take part in the decision, and they are committing for years. The decision is shaped by a handful of practical questions long before any advertising: How far is it from home? Is there a school bus on our route? Which board does it follow? What does it really cost each year? Is it safe? What do other parents say?
02Practical questions
Parents need answers, not "Admissions open"
That's why generic "brand awareness" posting does so little for most schools. Parents in Beltola or Hatigaon don't need to know your school exists in the abstract. They need to know whether the bus reaches their lane, whether the fee fits their budget, and whether the classroom their five-year-old will sit in feels safe and cared for. Marketing that answers those questions in the places parents look (Google Maps, your website, WhatsApp and the school's social media) outperforms marketing that simply announces "Admissions open".
03Word of mouth
One WhatsApp message can outweigh a month of posts
Word of mouth still decides a great deal. A single message in a parents' WhatsApp group can do more than a month of posts. Your digital presence has to hold up when a parent hears your name and searches for you: an accurate Google Business Profile, recent reviews that get a reply, and a website that loads quickly on a phone.
04Rules
Fees, disclosures, RTE and consent are all regulated
Schools in Assam also work within specific rules. Private school fees are regulated under the Assam Non-Government Educational Institutions (Regulation of Fees) Act, so fee figures in marketing must match what the school is permitted to charge. CBSE-affiliated schools must publish a mandatory public disclosure on their website covering affiliation, fees, staff and infrastructure, and CBSE has warned schools about penal action for non-compliance. Private unaided schools also reserve entry-level seats under Section 12(1)(c) of the Right to Education Act, filled through the state's own admission process. And under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, using a child's photo or name requires verifiable consent from a parent.
05Mid-year
Admissions in Assam follow two rhythms
Finally, school admissions in Assam follow two different rhythms. Most families apply in the months before the academic session begins, but Tezpur and Guwahati also have many families who move mid-year: defence personnel posted to Tezpur, central and state government employees on transfer, and families relocating for work. A school that only advertises during the main admission window misses parents searching urgently for a mid-session seat.
What's included
What's included
Eight parts, built around the questions parents ask.
Parents search differently for different classes: "nursery admission near me", "CBSE school in Tezpur", "class 11 science admission Guwahati". We build separate Google search campaigns for pre-primary, primary, middle and senior classes, each limited to the neighbourhoods your school buses serve or that families realistically travel from. Ads state the board, the classes with open seats, and how to book a campus visit.
Parents follow schools on Facebook and Instagram to see everyday school life: assemblies, sports days, science exhibitions, cultural programmes during Bihu and other festivals, library corners and teachers at work. Growthbees plans a content calendar around your academic year, films and edits short videos, designs posts and replies to comments. Every photo or video that shows a child is checked against your consent records before it is posted.
We promote open days, campus tours and orientation sessions through Meta ads targeted to the areas around your school, a registration page, and WhatsApp reminders for parents who register. Registrations are tracked so you know how many families came and which channel brought them.
Many parents prefer to message first. Click-to-WhatsApp ads send those messages to your admission desk, and we write reply templates for the questions asked most often: fees, bus routes, documents needed, admission test dates and campus visit timings. Your staff approve every template.
Growthbees' website team builds or rebuilds the pages parents actually use:
- an admissions page with classes, eligibility, documents, key dates and the application process
- a fee page showing the fee structure as permitted under the Assam fee regulation framework, as much as you choose to publish
- a transport page with bus routes and the localities covered
- for CBSE schools, a mandatory public disclosure page in the format CBSE requires, kept up to date
- a facilities page with real photographs, and a staff page with qualifications where you choose to show them
Board results, olympiad medals and alumni achievements are worth sharing, presented factually with the year and the number of students they refer to. We publish a named student's result only with written parental consent, and we avoid comparisons or claims that can't be documented.
For schools with seats available during the year, we run small, always-on search campaigns for transfer searches, and create a clear page explaining how mid-session admission works, including documents such as transfer certificates.
Compliance, built in
Compliance built into every school campaign
Schools in Assam work within specific rules. These are the shortcuts we leave out, and what we do instead.
| Area | The shortcut | What we do instead | Rule behind it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Results | Board results and achievements shared factually, with the year and the number of students | ASCI guidelines for educational advertising | |
| Urgency | Seat messages only when your admission records show it is true on that day | ||
| Fees | Fee figures that match the fees your school is permitted to charge | Assam fee regulation Act | |
| RTE admissions | Accurate information about RTE admissions | RTE Act, Section 12(1)(c) | |
| Children | Verifiable parental consent before any of them is used | DPDP Act | |
| CBSE disclosure | CBSE disclosure information kept consistent across all three | CBSE mandatory public disclosure |

How our school marketing retainer works
Growthbees works with schools on a monthly retainer. We don't publish a rate card. After a consultation, we send a written quote listing exactly what is included. Many schools choose a fuller plan in the months around admissions and a lighter plan for the rest of the year, and the quote can be structured that way.
The main things that shape the quote
- 01The number of campuses
- 02The classes and seats you want to promote
- 03The channels: Google search, Meta, WhatsApp, SEO and website work
- 04The volume of content, including campus shoots and event coverage
- 05Whether we build or maintain your website and disclosure pages

Where we work
Where we work with schools
Our Tezpur office at Gharpara Chuburi manages our work with Delhi Public School Tezpur and schools across Sonitpur and Biswanath. Tezpur's large defence community means a steady flow of families arriving mid-year who need a school quickly, and campaigns there account for it. From our Guwahati office on KK Bhatta Road, Chenikuthi, we work with schools across the city, where fast-growing residential areas such as Beltola, Hatigaon, Lokhra, Basistha and Six Mile bring new families looking for schools within bus range. We also work with schools in Nagaon, Jorhat, Dibrugarh and other Assam districts, in the other Northeast states, and elsewhere in India.
Rings show approximate straight-line distance from each office.
8 questions, answered
Frequently asked questions
Should our school show fees on its website?
Parents strongly prefer to see fees before they call, and CBSE-affiliated schools are required to publish their fee structure as part of the mandatory public disclosure. In Assam, private school fees are also regulated, so any figure you publish must match what your school is permitted to charge. Growthbees builds a clear fee page with the structure you approve and keeps ads and WhatsApp replies consistent with it.
Can we post photos and videos of our students?
Only with consent. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, using a child's personal data, including photos, videos and names, needs verifiable consent from a parent. We check every post that shows a child against your consent records, and we use wide shots, backs of heads or activity close-ups where consent isn't available.
What must a CBSE school publish on its website?
CBSE's affiliation bye-laws require a mandatory public disclosure covering details such as affiliation status, fee structure, infrastructure, teaching staff and their qualifications, the academic calendar and results. CBSE has reminded schools that non-compliance can lead to action under its affiliation rules. Growthbees can build and maintain this page in the format CBSE specifies, using the information your school provides.
How can we get more admission enquiries from nearby neighbourhoods?
Start with a complete Google Business Profile and recent parent reviews, then run search ads limited to the areas your school buses cover, with a transport page that lists routes and localities. Promote open days to families in those areas, and make it easy to ask questions on WhatsApp. Most schools see better enquiries from a focused radius than from citywide advertising.
How do we get more Google reviews without breaking the rules?
Ask parents at natural moments, such as after a parent-teacher meeting or an annual function, with a direct link to your Google review page. Don't offer discounts, gifts or other incentives for reviews, and don't write reviews for parents. Reply politely to every review, including critical ones, without sharing any student's details.
Can you help with mid-session admissions and transfers?
Yes. For schools with seats during the year, we run small, always-on search campaigns for transfer and mid-session searches and create a page explaining the process and documents needed. This matters in Tezpur and Guwahati, where defence and government families often move in the middle of the academic year.
Do you work with state-board and ICSE schools as well as CBSE schools?
Yes. We work with CBSE, ICSE and state-board schools, including schools under the Assam State School Education Board, which replaced SEBA and AHSEC in 2024. The approach is the same, but disclosure requirements and parents' questions differ by board, and campaigns reflect that.
How is school marketing priced?
Growthbees works on a monthly retainer quoted in writing after a consultation. The fee depends on the number of campuses, the classes you promote, the channels involved, content volume and any website work. Many schools increase activity around admissions and scale back afterwards. We don't publish a standard rate card.
