App Development Company in Guwahati

Growthbees is an app development company in Guwahati, with a second office in Tezpur, Assam. We plan, design, build, test and launch mobile apps for Android and iOS, web apps that run in a browser, e-commerce apps and internal apps for staff. Every project starts with a written scope that lists the screens, features and integrations, so the price and timeline are agreed before development begins.

Every project has

Every project has: A written scope, A clickable prototype, Real-device testing, Store accounts in your name.

We publish apps on Google Play and the App Store under your own developer accounts, and we support them after launch. We work with businesses, schools, hospitals and start-ups across Assam, the Northeast and India.

Do you need an app, or a better website?

Many businesses that ask us for an app actually need a fast mobile website. A website works on every phone without an install, can be found on Google and costs less to build and maintain. We will say so if that is the better choice for you.

An app usually makes sense in four situations.

  1. People will use it again and again

Customers reordering, students checking timetables and results, patients booking follow-ups, field staff logging visits every day.

  2. You need phone features

Push notifications, the camera, location, offline use, barcode or QR scanning, or payments stored in the app.

  3. You are replacing paper or spreadsheets

An internal app for attendance, orders, stock or service requests often pays for itself in staff time before it earns anything.

  4. The app is the product

For start-ups, the app is the business, and the plan has to cover launch, user feedback and regular updates.

If none of these apply, a website or a web app may give you the same result for less. See our website development service.

Apps we build

  • Mobile apps for Android and iOS

Customer apps for ordering, bookings, loyalty and account management, and service apps for schools, clinics and local businesses. In Assam and the Northeast, most of your users will be on Android phones, often mid-range devices on mobile data, so we design and test for those conditions, not just for the latest flagship phone.

  • Web apps

Browser-based software that staff or customers log in to: dashboards, portals, booking systems, admission and enquiry management, order tracking. Web apps work on phones, tablets and computers without an app store, and updates reach every user at once.

  • E-commerce apps

Shopping apps connected to your product catalogue, stock and payments, with order tracking and push notifications for offers and delivery updates. If you already sell through a website, the app can share the same products and orders.

  • Enterprise and internal apps

Apps for your own teams: field sales reporting, attendance, service tickets, inspections, stock counts and approvals. These often connect to software you already use, such as accounting or billing systems.

How an app project runs

It starts with a consultation, in person at our Guwahati or Tezpur office or on a call, about what you want the app to achieve and who will use it. After that, you see and approve each stage before the next begins, so changes happen while they're cheap: on paper and in the prototype, not in finished code.

What we design and build for

  • Mid-range Android phones on mobile data

Most users in Assam and the Northeast are on Android, often on mid-range devices, so we design and test for those conditions, not just for the latest flagship phone.

  • The cases your users will actually hit

Testing covers a range of real Android and iOS devices, slow connections, wrong passwords, failed payments and lost signal.

  • Security from the start

Passwords are never stored in plain text, data travels over encrypted connections, each type of user sees only what they should, and admin panels are protected. For payments we use established payment gateways rather than storing card details.

  • Getting people to use it

An app nobody installs doesn't help your business. Our marketing team can plan the launch: store listing text and screenshots, a landing page, social media announcements and, where it fits, app install campaigns on Google and Meta.

  • Wherever you are

Our developers work from KK Bhatta Road in Chenikuthi, Guwahati, and Gharpara Chuburi in Tezpur. Clients near either office can meet the team in person for workshops and reviews; elsewhere in Assam, the Northeast and India, we run the same process over video calls, shared prototypes and test builds installed on your phone.

Launch marketing is handled by our own performance marketing and social media marketing teams. Before launch, the server and admin side of an app can also go through our website security audit process. See the areas we serve in Assam.

What a Growthbees app project includes

Eight parts. Nothing is priced finally until you have approved the written scope.

We map who uses the app, what each type of user needs to do, and what the app must connect to.

A document listing screens, features, user roles, integrations and what is not included. You approve it before we quote a final price.

You can tap through the main screens on your own phone before any code is written, and change your mind cheaply.

Features are built in short cycles, with a working test version shared regularly so you see progress instead of waiting for a single delivery date.

A simple back office where your team manages content, users, orders or bookings without calling a developer.

On a range of real Android and iOS devices, on slow connections, and with the edge cases your users will actually hit: wrong passwords, failed payments, lost signal.

Store listing, screenshots, privacy details and submission to Google Play and the App Store, and handling of any review feedback from Google or Apple.

Bug fixes after launch, updates when Android and iOS release new versions, and new features when you need them.

Privacy and store rules

Apps collect personal data, so privacy is part of the build, not an afterthought.

RuleWhat it requiresWhat we do
Google Play's Data safety section and Apple's privacy detailsThey must describe what the app collects and why.We prepare these with you from the app's actual behaviour.
A privacy policyIt must be linked from the store listing and inside the app.We link it from both places before submission.
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023A clear notice and consent for personal data, and reasonable security safeguards. We build consent screens, permission requests and account deletion options into the app.
Health, education and payment appsExtra rules apply. Apps for hospitals and clinics must handle patient information carefully, and apps used by children need extra care with consent and advertising. We plan these requirements into the scope.

How app development is priced

How you are quoted

A fixed price for the scope you approve, split into stage payments. We don't publish a rate card, because a simple booking app and a multi-role platform with payments differ many times over in effort.

What changes the price

Number of screens and user roles
Features: payments, maps, chat, notifications, offline use
The systems it connects to
Android, iOS, a web app or all three

Maintenance and hosting

A separate monthly or annual fee, if you want us to look after the app.

Store fees

Paid by you directly: Google charges a one-time fee to register a Google Play developer account, and Apple charges an annual fee for its Developer Program.

Find out whether you need an app at all

Tell us who will use it and what they need to do. If a website would do the job for less, we'll say so.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to build an app in Guwahati?

It depends on the features, the number of user types and whether you need Android, iOS or a web app. A simple information or booking app costs far less than a platform with payments, chat and several user roles. We give a fixed quote after a free consultation and a written scope, so you know the full cost before development starts.

How long does app development take?

Timelines depend on the scope. A small app with a handful of screens takes much less time than a multi-role platform with payments and integrations. We agree a timeline with the scope and share test versions at each stage, so you can see progress throughout the project.

Do you build apps for both Android and iOS?

Yes. We build apps for Android and iOS, and web apps that work in any browser. In Assam most users are on Android, so if budget is limited we may suggest launching on Android first and adding iOS later.

Will I own the app and its source code?

Yes. Your app is published under your own Google Play and Apple developer accounts, and the source code, designs and data are handed over to you as part of our agreement.

Can you publish the app on Google Play and the App Store for us?

Yes. We prepare the store listings, screenshots and privacy details and handle the submission and any review feedback from Google or Apple. The developer accounts should be registered in your business's name, and we help you set them up.

Do you maintain the app after launch?

Yes. We offer maintenance for bug fixes, updates for new Android and iOS versions, security updates and new features. Apps need regular updates to keep working well as phones and operating systems change.

Should I build an app or a website first?

For most local businesses, a fast mobile website comes first, because people can find it on Google without installing anything. An app makes sense when customers or staff will use it repeatedly or you need phone features like notifications or offline use. We will recommend what fits your situation.

Do you only work with businesses in Guwahati?

No. We work with clients across Assam, the other Northeast states and the rest of India from our Guwahati and Tezpur offices. Clients who can't visit review designs and test builds online.
