Performance Marketing Agency in Assam

Growthbees is a performance marketing agency in Assam, with offices in Guwahati and Tezpur. We plan and manage Google Ads, Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram, and click-to-WhatsApp campaigns that are judged on cost per lead and cost per sale rather than clicks or likes.

We optimise for

We optimise for: Cost per lead, Cost per sale, Return on ad spend, Cost per qualified enquiry.

Before budgets grow, we set up conversion tracking (Google Analytics 4, the Meta pixel and Conversions API, call and WhatsApp tracking) so every rupee can be traced to an enquiry or a sale. We run campaigns in English, Hindi and Assamese for businesses across Assam, the Northeast and the rest of India.

What performance marketing actually means

Performance marketing is advertising paid for, planned and judged by measurable business results: an enquiry form submitted, a call made, a WhatsApp chat started, an appointment booked or a product bought. It sounds obvious, but a great deal of advertising in Assam still isn't run that way. A business boosts a few Facebook posts, sees likes and reach climb, and has no idea whether a single customer came from it.

The difference comes down to three things.

  1. Tracking comes first

If you can't see which ad produced which enquiry, you can't improve anything. We don't scale a budget until conversions are recorded reliably.

  2. The goal is a business number

Campaigns are set to optimise for leads or purchases, and reports lead with cost per lead, cost per sale and, for online stores, return on ad spend.

  3. Budget follows results

Money moves every few days or weeks towards the campaigns, audiences, keywords and ads that produce customers at an acceptable cost, and away from those that don't.

Some sectors work under extra advertising rules or longer buying decisions, so we explain our approach for each on its own page: hospitals and clinics, automobile dealers, coaching institutes and real estate developers.

How we know which rupee worked

Every campaign we run is wired so that an ad can be traced through to a form, a call or a WhatsApp chat, and then through to a sale your team actually closed. Where the sale finishes offline, we send it back to Google and Meta, so the platforms optimise towards your buyers instead of your cheapest clicks.

Offline sales are imported back into Google Ads and Meta, so the platforms learn who actually buys.

Why campaigns in Assam need their own plan

  • Demand moves with the Assamese calendar

Spending on clothing, jewellery, vehicles, electronics and gifts rises around Rongali Bihu in April, and again during Durga Puja, Diwali and the wedding season, while food and grocery demand peaks around Magh Bihu in January. A performance plan for Assam sets budgets and creative around those windows instead of spreading spend evenly across the year.

  • Weather and floods affect behaviour

Heavy monsoon rain and flooding can cut footfall, disrupt deliveries and change what people buy in parts of the state. We watch for this and pause or redirect campaigns in affected districts rather than paying for clicks that can't turn into sales.

  • Language matters

The same offer can perform very differently in English, Hindi and Assamese. We write and test ad copy in all three, and match the landing page to the language of the ad.

  • Districts aren't all the same market

A Guwahati audience, customers in Upper Assam towns such as Dibrugarh and Jorhat, and buyers in the Barak Valley respond to different messages and cost different amounts to reach. Budgets are split by district or region, so strong markets aren't subsidising weak ones unnoticed.

  • A lot of sales finish offline

Many customers see an ad, then call, message on WhatsApp or walk into the shop. Measuring only website conversions undercounts what advertising actually achieves, so we set up call and WhatsApp tracking and bring offline sales back into the ad platforms wherever the business can share them.

What's included

Seven parts, and the first one is not optional. Open any of them for the detail.

Nothing else starts until this works.

  • Google Analytics 4 with key events for forms, calls, WhatsApp clicks and purchases
  • Google Ads conversion tracking, including enhanced conversions where your website supports it
  • Meta pixel and Conversions API, so conversions are still recorded when browsers block tracking
  • Call tracking numbers per campaign, and click-to-WhatsApp conversation tracking
  • Offline conversion imports from your CRM or a simple shared sheet, so the platforms learn which leads actually bought
  • A consent notice on every lead form, in line with the data protection rules notified in November 2025

Search campaigns for people actively looking for what you sell, with keyword research in your market, negative keyword lists to stop wasted clicks, ad copy tested in the languages your customers use, and location targeting down to the districts you serve. Where it suits the business, we add YouTube, Display or Performance Max campaigns, and Shopping campaigns for online stores, only once tracking is reliable enough for automated bidding to work. For a Google-only programme, see our Google Ads management service.

Campaigns built for leads, WhatsApp conversations or purchases, with creative made for each placement: vertical video for reels and stories, square images and carousels for feeds. We test different offers, hooks and formats, and retire the ones that don't produce customers. Account-level detail, such as structure, catalogues and restricted categories, is covered on our Facebook and Instagram ads management page.

For many businesses in Assam, a WhatsApp conversation converts better than a form. We run ads that open a chat directly, write the first reply templates with your team, and track how many conversations turn into sales.

Ads work only as well as the page they send people to. Growthbees' website team builds fast, mobile-first landing pages on WordPress, Shopify or custom code, with one clear offer, the answers customers look for, and a short form or WhatsApp button. We test page variations when traffic allows.

Cheap leads that never buy are expensive. We agree with your sales team what a qualified lead looks like, collect their feedback on lead quality, and change targeting, forms and ad messages to improve it, even if the cost per lead rises a little.

Your report opens with spend, leads, cost per lead, sales and cost per sale (or revenue and return on ad spend for online stores), broken down by channel, campaign and district. Impressions and clicks appear only as supporting detail.

How a performance engagement runs

Six stages, in this order. Tracking and landing pages are fixed before any budget is scaled.

  1. Strategy

We review your margins, average order or deal value, sales process and past ad data, and agree a target cost per lead or per sale that makes business sense.

  2. Optimise

Tracking, landing pages and lead routing are fixed first. Campaigns launch on a controlled budget.

  3. Create

We produce ad copy and creative variations in the languages you need, for each channel and placement.

  4. Interact

Leads reach your team quickly, with WhatsApp templates and a follow-up routine your team can keep up with.

  5. Analyse

We check performance often in the early weeks, then move budget to what works and cut what doesn't.

  6. Listen

Sales feedback on lead quality shapes targeting, forms and offers for the next cycle.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between performance marketing and regular digital marketing?

Performance marketing is paid advertising planned and judged on measurable business results such as leads, calls, WhatsApp chats and sales. Broader digital marketing also includes activity that builds visibility over time, like organic social media and SEO. A performance campaign starts with conversion tracking and reports cost per lead or cost per sale, not just reach and likes.

How much should we spend on ads to start?

It depends on your market, your average sale value and how competitive your keywords are. A starting budget has to be large enough for campaigns to gather meaningful data within a few weeks. After reviewing your business, Growthbees recommends a starting budget in writing, and budgets increase only when results justify it.

Is ad spend included in the Growthbees retainer?

Advertising spend is paid to Google and Meta and is separate from the work of managing campaigns. The Growthbees retainer covers planning, tracking, creative, optimisation and reporting, and your written quote states exactly how ad spend is handled and billed.

How soon will performance campaigns bring results?

Campaigns can start producing enquiries soon after ads are approved and tracking is working. The first weeks are a learning period in which we test audiences, keywords and creative, and results usually become more consistent once enough conversion data has been collected. We agree review points with you at the start.

Can you track sales that happen on WhatsApp or in our shop?

Yes. We set up click-to-WhatsApp conversation tracking and call tracking numbers, and where your team records which enquiries bought, we import those offline sales back into Google Ads and Meta. That shows the real result of your advertising and helps the platforms find more customers like your buyers.

Who owns our ad accounts and data?

You do. We create or use ad accounts, pixels and Google Analytics properties registered to your business, with Growthbees added as a manager. If you ever stop working with us, your accounts, data and campaign history stay with you.

Should we start with Google Ads or Meta ads?

It depends on whether people already search for what you sell. Google Search ads reach people who are actively looking, so they suit lead generation for services with clear search demand, such as clinics, coaching or repairs. Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram reach people who weren't searching yet, so they suit visual products, launches, events and offers. Many businesses use both. Starting with the one closer to how your customers buy keeps the first budget focused, and the second can be added once tracking shows what a lead is worth.

Do you run performance campaigns outside Assam?

Yes. We manage campaigns across the Northeast and for businesses selling nationally, including online stores that ship across India. Targeting, language and budgets are set for each market rather than copied from one to the next.
