Digital Marketing Agency for Healthcare Providers
Growthbees is a digital marketing agency for healthcare providers, with offices in Guwahati and Tezpur, Assam. We market clinics, diagnostic laboratories, imaging centres, pharmacies, physiotherapy practices and wellness brands through Google search ads, Meta and WhatsApp campaigns, local SEO and Google Business Profile management, and websites built for booking. Each provider type faces different Indian rules, so we plan campaigns around the ones that apply: the PC&PNDT Act for ultrasound centres, drug advertising law for pharmacies, doctors' professional conduct rules for clinics, ASCI's advertising code, and Google and Meta health policies. Our healthcare work includes NEMCARE Super Speciality Hospital.

Dr. M. C. Agarwal Hospital And Research Centre
Growthbees' published healthcare work to date is with hospitals: NEMCARE Super Speciality Hospital in Guwahati and NEMCARE Hospital in Tezpur (client since January 2024), and Dr. M. C. Agarwal Hospital And Research Centre. The disciplines that work for a hospital, such as accurate local listings, enquiry tracking, compliant ad copy and clinician-approved content, are the same ones smaller providers need. The difference is scale and the specific rules for each provider type, which this page sets out.
If you run a hospital, see our digital marketing for hospitals page instead.
The problem
The problem: healthcare providers can't market like shops
01Clinics
Multi-doctor clinics can't promote doctors like a shop promotes a chef
A diagnostic lab, a physiotherapy clinic and a pharmacy all want the same thing from digital marketing: more of the right people finding them and getting in touch. But each works under limits that make ordinary retail tactics risky.
A multi-doctor clinic can't promote its doctors the way a restaurant promotes its chef. The Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002, still applied by the National Medical Commission, treat soliciting patients as unethical.
02Diagnostics
One careless keyword can create legal exposure for an imaging centre
A diagnostic or imaging centre with an ultrasound machine is covered by Section 22 of the PC&PNDT Act, which bans any advertisement, including on the internet, about pre-natal sex determination. One careless keyword or an agency's auto-generated ad text can create legal exposure.
03Pharmacies
Pharmacies work under drug advertising law
A pharmacy faces drug advertising rules. The Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954 prohibits advertising remedies for the conditions in its schedule, and Google requires certification for some pharmacy advertising.
04Wellness
Result claims trigger ASCI and Meta rules
Wellness brands and physiotherapy practices run into ASCI's substantiation rules the moment an ad claims a result, and into Meta's policy against ads that imply they know the viewer's health status.
05Basics
The practical gaps are the same everywhere
Meanwhile the practical problems are the same everywhere: an out-of-date Google Business Profile with the wrong hours, a website that doesn't say which tests or treatments you offer, and enquiries arriving by phone, WhatsApp and walk-in with no way to tell which marketing produced them.
What's included
What's included, by provider type
Seven provider types, each with the rules that apply to it.
- Test and package pages that state what is included, sample requirements and report turnaround as provided by the lab
- Google search campaigns for test-intent searches, such as "thyroid test near me" or "MRI scan centre Guwahati", with location targeting around each collection point
- Home sample collection promotion on Meta and WhatsApp where the lab offers it
- Keyword and ad-text controls: a permanent exclusion list for any sex-determination terms, applied to every campaign and every keyword expansion, for any centre with ultrasound or imaging equipment
- Local SEO and Google Business Profile for each store, including opening hours and delivery areas
- Awareness campaigns for services such as home delivery or health camps, rather than medicine promotion
- An eligibility check before any paid campaign, covering Google's pharmacy certification requirements and Indian drug advertising limits
- Service pages that describe what a session involves, who delivers it and their qualifications
- Instagram and Facebook content: exercise demonstrations and education from qualified professionals, with qualifications stated at the start as ASCI requires for health content
- Meta campaigns with neutral, non-assumptive copy and age targeting where Meta's health policy requires it
- Service-area pages by locality, so families searching for nursing care at home find the areas you actually cover
- Pages that state who provides care, their qualifications and how visits are scheduled
- Google search and WhatsApp campaigns aimed at family members arranging care for a parent or relative
- Review requests handled sensitively, since many of your clients are elderly or unwell
- Listings and pages for each service line, such as maternity, day-care procedures or general medicine
- Search campaigns only for services where you have beds and specialists available
- The same factual doctor-profile rules as larger hospitals, scaled to a smaller team
- For facilities with many departments, our hospitals page describes the full department-level approach
- Consent-based enquiry forms: under the DPDP Rules notified in November 2025, forms need a clear, standalone notice about why data is collected. We add a consent line and purpose statement to every form we build.
- Tracking: call tracking per channel, WhatsApp and form tracking, and a monthly report on enquiries and cost per enquiry
- Content approval: anything clinical is approved by your qualified staff before it is published
Compliance, built in
Healthcare marketing that stays within the rules
Each provider type faces different Indian rules. These are the shortcuts we leave out, and what we do instead.
| Area | The shortcut | What we do instead | Rule behind it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ultrasound and imaging centres | A permanent exclusion list for sex-determination terms, applied to every campaign and every keyword expansion | PC&PNDT Act, Section 22 | |
| Pharmacies | Awareness campaigns for services such as home delivery or health camps, after an eligibility check | Drugs and Magic Remedies Act, 1954; Google pharmacy certification | |
| Clinics | Factual doctor profiles and search campaigns on service intent | IMC Regulations, 2002 | |
| Physiotherapy and wellness | Neutral, non-assumptive copy, with qualifications stated at the start of health content | ASCI code; Meta health policy | |
| Enquiry forms | A consent line and purpose statement on every form we build | DPDP Rules, November 2025 | |
| Review replies | Polite, non-clinical responses drafted for your approval |
Anything clinical is approved by your qualified staff before it is published.

03 Create
We write ads, pages and posts, with compliance checks built in and clinical approval from your team.

Case study: NEMCARE Super Speciality Hospital
- Client
NEMCARE Super Speciality Hospital, Guwahati, and NEMCARE Hospital, Tezpur
- Working together since
January 2024
- What Growthbees does
Health education content presented by NEMCARE's own doctors: conditions, warning signs and prevention, explained in their own words
- Result
5,00,000+ organic views every month, without relying on paid reach
Our longest-running healthcare engagement is with NEMCARE, since January 2024. It is a hospital rather than a clinic or lab, but the same approach works for any practice with doctors willing to explain things on camera: education first, promotion second.
Before any advertising
Common problems we fix first
When a clinic, lab or pharmacy comes to us, the same issues turn up again and again. Most of them cost enquiries before any advertising starts.
Duplicate or unclaimed Google Business Profiles
Old listings with a previous address or phone number split your reviews and send patients to the wrong place.
Wrong categories and missing services
A diagnostic centre listed only as a medical laboratory may not appear for imaging searches.
Ads that land on the homepage
Someone searching for a thyroid test should land on a page about that test, with a way to book, not a general welcome page.
Different information in different places
Test prices, timings or doctors' days that differ between the website, Google and the front desk lead to complaints and poor reviews.
Stock photos presented as your staff
Images of models in white coats can mislead patients, so we use real photos of your facility and team, taken with consent.
Boosted posts with no plan
Boosting every post to a broad audience spends money without producing enquiries you can trace.
Forms without consent notices
Enquiry forms that collect health information without a clear purpose statement create data protection risk.
Unanswered reviews
We draft polite, non-clinical responses for your approval, taking care never to confirm that a reviewer is a patient.
Reporting
What your monthly report shows
Where your team shares booking or billing data, we add how many enquiries became appointments or tests. We never put patient names or health details into marketing reports.
Healthcare reports from Growthbees are built around enquiries, not likes and reach:
Every monthly report shows
- 01Enquiries by channel: calls, WhatsApp chats and form submissions
- 02Enquiries by service or test, and by location or collection point
- 03Cost per enquiry for each paid campaign
- 04Missed calls and unanswered chats, so staffing gaps are visible
- 05Google Business Profile actions: calls, direction requests and website clicks
- 06The search terms that triggered your ads, and any we have excluded
- 07Content published and changes made to your listings and website
Never in a marketing reportPatient names or health details
Choosing an agency
Questions to ask any healthcare marketing agency
Whether or not you choose Growthbees, these questions separate agencies that understand healthcare from those that don't. Tick the ones your current agency has already answered.

How our healthcare retainer works
Growthbees works on a monthly retainer. We don't publish a rate card. After a short consultation we send a written quote setting out exactly what the retainer covers. A single-location clinic that needs a Google Business Profile, local SEO and one search campaign has a very different scope from a diagnostic chain with ten collection points and daily social content.
The main things that shape the quote
- 01The number of locations or collection points
- 02Which channels you need: Google search, Meta, WhatsApp, SEO, website
- 03How much content we produce each month
- 04Whether compliance checks need extra specialist review for your provider type

Where we work
Where we work with healthcare providers
From our Guwahati office on KK Bhatta Road, Chenikuthi, we work with providers across the city, from clinics around Ganeshguri and Beltola to labs and pharmacies along GS Road and Zoo Road. From our Tezpur office at Gharpara Chuburi, we cover Sonitpur and Biswanath. Diagnostic chains and pharmacies with branches across Assam, such as in Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Nagaon or Silchar, get location-level listings and campaigns for each branch rather than a single statewide ad. We also work with healthcare providers in the other Northeast states and elsewhere in India.
Rings show approximate straight-line distance from our Guwahati office.
8 questions, answered
Frequently asked questions
Can a diagnostic centre with an ultrasound machine advertise online?
Yes, diagnostic centres can advertise their tests and services, but Section 22 of the PC&PNDT Act prohibits any advertisement, including on the internet, about pre-natal determination of sex or sex selection. Growthbees applies a permanent exclusion list for such terms to every campaign and keyword expansion for centres with ultrasound or imaging equipment, and reviews ad text before it goes live. We recommend your legal adviser also reviews your advertising.
Can pharmacies run Google or Facebook ads in India?
Some pharmacy advertising is allowed, but it is restricted. Google requires certification for certain pharmacy ads, and the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act prohibits advertising remedies for specific conditions. Before running any paid campaign for a pharmacy, we check eligibility and usually focus on store listings, delivery services and health camps rather than promoting medicines.
How do you market a clinic without breaking doctors' advertising rules?
We market the clinic's services, location, timings and booking process, and keep doctor information factual: qualifications, registration details, specialities and consultation days. We avoid superlatives, outcome claims and testimonials about treatment results, because doctors' professional conduct rules treat soliciting patients as unethical. Your doctors approve anything that describes them.
What do we need to change on our enquiry forms for data protection?
The Digital Personal Data Protection Rules notified in November 2025 require a clear, standalone notice explaining why personal data is collected, with the option to withdraw consent. For healthcare enquiries, we add a short purpose statement and an unticked consent checkbox to every form we build, and limit the questions to what your team needs to respond.
Do you only work with hospitals?
No. Our published healthcare case studies are with hospitals, but we also take on clinics, diagnostic labs, imaging centres, pharmacies, physiotherapy practices and wellness brands. The listing management, tracking and compliant content process we use for hospitals scales down to a single-location clinic.
Can wellness brands make health claims in their ads?
Only claims that can be substantiated. The ASCI code requires evidence for claims, and Meta rejects ads that imply knowledge of the viewer's health. We write wellness ads around what the service or product is, who delivers it and how to access it, and we remove any claim your team can't back with evidence.
Who should own our Google Business Profile and ad accounts?
Your practice should. Growthbees works inside your Google Business Profile, Google Ads account, Meta Business Manager and website as a manager, while ownership stays with you. That way your listings, reviews, campaign history and data remain yours if you change agencies, and you can see exactly what is being done at any time.
How is healthcare marketing priced at Growthbees?
We work on a monthly retainer quoted in writing after a consultation. The fee depends on the number of locations, the channels involved, content volume and any extra compliance review your provider type needs. We don't publish a standard rate card.
