Instagram Marketing Agency in Guwahati

Growthbees is an Instagram marketing agency in Guwahati, working from our office on KK Bhatta Road in Chenikuthi. We help cafés, boutiques, salons, clinics, gyms, event businesses and online sellers get customers from Instagram through profile set-up, reels we script, shoot and edit in-house, stories, carousel posts, direct message handling and Instagram ads.

We report on

We report on: Profile visits, DMs and enquiries, WhatsApp and website clicks, Orders and bookings.

We create captions and content in English, Hindi and Assamese. Creator and influencer collaborations we arrange follow the Consumer Affairs Department's 2023 endorsement guidelines and ASCI's influencer rules, so every paid post is clearly and correctly labelled for viewers.

Why Instagram matters for Guwahati businesses

For a lot of businesses in Guwahati, Instagram has become the shop window people check before they visit. Someone planning dinner scrolls through a café's reels before choosing between two places on Zoo Road. A bride-to-be shortlists makeup artists and boutiques by their grid before sending a single message. A family deciding on a new gym in Beltola looks at trainer videos first. Many home bakers, clothing sellers and handloom brands across the city sell almost entirely through Instagram DMs, with no website at all.

That creates a specific problem. Posting regularly isn't enough. The businesses that win on Instagram in Guwahati tend to do four things well.

  1. They show the real place and real people

Reels filmed at the actual shop, clinic or café outperform stock images and generic templates, because customers want to see what they'll actually get.

  2. They make it easy to act

A clear bio, working contact buttons, a WhatsApp link, highlights that answer the common questions, and fast replies to DMs.

  3. They speak their customers' language

Captions, voice-overs and on-screen text in Assamese or Hindi often reach people an English-only post misses.

  4. They put money behind what already works

Instagram ads amplify reels and offers that are already getting saves, shares and messages, rather than boosting random posts.

Most Guwahati businesses we speak with are strong at one or two of these and struggle with the rest, usually because the owner is also running the business and the camera.

How a reel becomes a customer

Reach on its own pays no bills. We plan each piece of content around the step after it: a profile visit, a DM, a WhatsApp chat or a trip to the shop, and we track which content brings those.

Planning Instagram around Guwahati

  • The festival calendar

Guwahati's calendar shapes what people buy and share: Rongali Bihu in April, Durga Puja, Kati Bihu, Diwali, Magh Bihu, Christmas and the winter wedding season. We plan content and offers ahead of each, so you aren't scrambling to post on the day.

  • Each part of the city needs its own style

A café shoot on Zoo Road, a clothing store in Fancy Bazaar selling to buyers across the Northeast, and a clinic on GS Road each need a different style of content, and we plan shoots around opening hours so we don't disrupt customers.

  • Shoots across the city in a day

Our team works from KK Bhatta Road in Chenikuthi, which makes shoots across the city practical in a single day. One planned shoot can produce content for several weeks.

  • DMs are where the sale happens

A message left unanswered on Instagram is usually a lost customer, especially for sellers who take orders only through DMs. We reply within agreed hours and set up quick replies for price, timings and delivery.

  • Beyond Guwahati

We also create Instagram content for businesses in Tezpur, from our office at Gharpara Chuburi, and in other Assam towns, and manage accounts remotely for brands elsewhere in India.

What's included

Eight parts. The profile is fixed first, so the people content brings in can act.

We rewrite your bio so it says what you do, where you are and how to reach you. We set up contact, directions and WhatsApp buttons, organise story highlights (menu, prices or price ranges, location, reviews, FAQs), connect the account to your Facebook Page and Meta Business Suite, and link your website or Shopify store where you have one.

Reels are where Instagram currently gives accounts the most reach. Our team plans a monthly set of reel ideas around your products, services and upcoming dates, writes short scripts and hooks, shoots at your location in Guwahati, and edits with captions and subtitles in English, Hindi or Assamese. Behind-the-scenes, how-it's-made, before-and-after (where lawful for your sector), staff introductions and customer questions tend to work well, and we test which formats bring messages and visits for your business.

Carousels for menus, collections, price guides and explainers; single posts for announcements; and daily or regular stories for offers, polls, new arrivals and behind-the-scenes moments. Everything follows one visual style so your grid looks consistent.

A message left unanswered on Instagram is usually a lost customer. We reply to comments and direct messages within agreed hours using answers your team approves, pass orders and bookings to your staff, and set up quick replies for common questions such as price, timings and delivery.

Reels and story ads that send people to your profile, DMs, WhatsApp or website, targeted to the areas of Guwahati and Assam you serve. Where a campaign's goal is sales or leads, we set up the Meta pixel and conversion tracking so you can see what the ads produce. Larger Meta advertising programmes are covered on our Facebook and Instagram ads management page.

Guwahati has a growing community of food, fashion, lifestyle and travel creators on Instagram. We shortlist creators whose audience actually matches your customers, agree the brief and fee, and review content before it goes live. Every collaboration is disclosed properly, as described below. Health-related content is only created with qualified professionals, as ASCI requires.

For online stores built on Shopify, we connect your product catalogue to Meta, so products can be tagged in posts and reels where Meta's shopping features are available to your account, and run catalogue ads to people who have shown interest.

Monthly reports focus on what matters to a business: profile visits, website and WhatsApp clicks, direct messages, enquiries and orders (where you track them), alongside reach, saves and shares. Follower growth is reported, but it isn't the goal.

Influencer and creator disclosure rules

Paid Instagram collaborations in India carry legal disclosure requirements, and brands can be responsible along with the creator.

  1. "Endorsement Know-hows" (January 2023)

The Department of Consumer Affairs requires influencers to disclose any material connection with a brand, such as payment, free products or a business relationship, using clear labels like "advertisement", "sponsored", "collaboration" or "paid promotion". The disclosure must be hard to miss: superimposed on images, included in both the video and its caption, and shown throughout livestreams. The Central Consumer Protection Authority can impose penalties on advertisers and endorsers for misleading endorsements.

  2. ASCI influencer guidelines

The disclosure label goes at the start of the caption, not hidden below "more" or only in the bio, and labels in videos must stay on screen for minimum durations. ASCI's guidance also says a platform's own disclosure tool, such as Instagram's "Paid partnership" tag, may not be enough on its own.

  3. What we do on every collaboration

Every creator collaboration Growthbees arranges uses Instagram's Paid partnership label and a clear label at the start of the caption and on screen. We keep written agreements that require it, and we check posts before approving payment.

How we run your Instagram

Six stages, repeated every month.

  1. Strategy

We study your account, your competitors' accounts and your customers, and agree what Instagram should produce: visits, bookings, DMs or online orders.

  2. Optimise

Profile, highlights, buttons, links and Meta Business Suite set-up are fixed before content ramps up.

  3. Create

We shoot and edit reels, design posts and plan stories, sharing a monthly calendar for your approval.

  4. Interact

Comments and DMs are handled within agreed hours, with orders and bookings passed to your team.

  5. Analyse

We track which content brings profile visits, messages and sales, and do more of what works.

  6. Listen

Customer questions in DMs and comments become the next month's reel ideas.

Frequently asked questions

Can you shoot reels at our shop or café in Guwahati?

Yes. Our team scripts, shoots and edits reels on location at businesses across Guwahati, and schedules shoots around your opening hours so customers aren't disturbed. We plan a set of reel ideas in advance so one shoot can produce content for several weeks.

Do influencers in India have to label paid Instagram posts?

Yes. The Department of Consumer Affairs' 2023 Endorsement Know-hows require influencers to clearly disclose any material connection with a brand, such as payment or free products, using labels like "advertisement", "sponsored" or "collaboration". ASCI's influencer guidelines add that the label should appear at the start of the caption and on screen in videos. Growthbees requires this in every creator collaboration it arranges.

Is Instagram's Paid partnership tag enough on its own?

Not necessarily. ASCI's guidance says a platform's own disclosure tool may not be sufficient by itself. Growthbees uses Instagram's Paid partnership label together with a clear label at the start of the caption and on screen, so the collaboration is obvious to anyone who sees it.

Should we boost posts or run proper Instagram ads?

Boosting a post is quick but offers limited control over objectives and tracking. Instagram ads created in Meta Ads Manager let you choose goals such as messages, website sales or leads, target specific areas of Guwahati and Assam, test different creative, and measure results with the Meta pixel. We usually promote reels and offers that are already performing well organically.

Can you create Instagram content in Assamese?

Yes. We write captions, on-screen text and voice-overs in English, Hindi and Assamese, and often use more than one language for the same account depending on who the post is for.

Do you reply to comments and DMs for us?

Yes, if it's included in your plan. We reply within agreed hours using answers your team approves, pass orders, bookings and complaints to the right person, and set up quick replies for common questions like prices, timings and delivery.

Do you only work with businesses in Guwahati?

No. Our Guwahati office handles Instagram for businesses across the city, and our Tezpur office for businesses in Tezpur and nearby districts. We also manage Instagram remotely for brands elsewhere in Assam, the Northeast and India.

How is Instagram marketing priced?

Growthbees charges a monthly retainer quoted in writing after a consultation. The fee depends on the number of reels, posts and stories, how often we shoot on location, DM handling, and whether ads or creator collaborations are included. We don't publish a standard rate card.
